Michigan State University has nominated five students for the nationally competitive Goldwater Scholarship, including Briggsie junior, Erin Visser.
The Goldwater Foundation provides $7,500 per year in funding for approximately 51 sophomore and junior students who are committed to a research career in STEM fields and have significant potential for future contributions in their chosen field.
Among those MSU students nominated is Erin Visser, a third-year Briggsie majoring in advanced mathematics, computational and applied mathematics, and physics in Lyman Briggs College. She is also a member of the MSU Honors College.
