There are several student organizations here in the college.
Lyman Briggs Student Advisory Council (LBSAC)
The Lyman Briggs Student Advisory Council (LBSAC) engages with the Lyman Briggs community and university governance, by acting as student representatives. They aid students' academic goals by helping in networking with LBC professors and providing leadership opportunities within the LBC community. They also host events like resume workshops, medical certifications (CPR/BLS and Stop the Bleed), pre-professional panels, and volunteering opportunities. To engage with the student body, social events like tote bag painting and Deans Treats bring Briggsies together.
LBSAC holds biweekly events on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. To get more involved, students can also come to a SAC executive board meeting to talk about the Lyman Briggs community and upcoming events.
To get involved, join their GroupMe and follow them on Instagram! They also have a website that has updates on events and more about Lyman Briggs.
Briggs Ambassadors
Briggs Ambassadors represent the student experience in Lyman Briggs through leading tours of Holmes Hall with prospective students and their families. They also lead tours of Holmes when MSU leaders visit. Being a Briggs Ambassador is an opportunity to build leadership and communication skills, gain valuable volunteer experience, and connect with incoming students in a unique way.
To get involved, follow them on Instagram, fill out their interest form, or attend one of their meetings.
