Majors
Students in LBC can pursue 36 majors in the biological, physical, environmental, computational sciences and mathematics, and social sciences.
Minors
Briggs students may pursue a minor offered by LBC or in any of MSU's undergraduate colleges.
Academic Resources
Briggsies have the built-in study network of a cohort of peers who live nearby, professors who have offices in the building, and a robust program of undergraduate learning assistants to help support learning in class.
3+4 Program with MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine
Interested in pursing medicine? Take advantage of the partnership we have with the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, where, if you major in Briggs biology and meet other criteria, you could enter medical school during what would be your fourth (senior) year of college. You'd earn a B.S. and D.O. degree in a matter of 7 years.
Education Abroad
Lyman Briggs students have a world of options when it comes to earning credit and valuable experiences abroad and away from East Lansing.
Undergraduate Learning Assistants
Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs) are core members of our teaching team at LBC. They assist faculty in lectures, recitations, and labs.
