Michigan State University has nominated two students for the Churchill Scholarship, which supports one year of master’s study at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, England. One of them is a Briggsie: Sarah Krikor!

Michigan State University has nominated two students for the Churchill Scholarship, which supports one year of master’s study at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, England. One of them is a Briggsie!

Established in 1959 by the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States, the award offers up to 16 American students of exceptional ability and outstanding achievement the opportunity to pursue graduate degrees in engineering, mathematics, or the sciences.

MSU’s nominees for the Churchill Scholarship are:

  • Erik Brodsky, an Honors College fourth-year student majoring in advanced mathematics and computational mathematics through the College of Natural Science. Brodsky is from Cortlandt Manor, New York, and was homeschooled for high school.
  • Sarah Krikor, a third-year student majoring in human biology through Lyman Briggs College. Krikor is from Sterling Heights, Michigan, and attended International Academy East in Troy, Michigan.

Scholarship recipients will be announced in the coming months. MSU has produced 18 Churchill Scholars to date.
