Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs) are core members of our teaching team at Lyman Briggs College. They assist faculty in providing an enriching and supported educational environment in lectures, recitations, and labs.
Application Window for ULAs for Spring 2027
New applicants and returning ULAs need to apply if they want to be a ULA in the Spring 2027 semester. Current ULAs only need to reapply if they are hoping to work in a different discipline.
Timeline:
- Application opens: October 16, 2026
- Application due: November 9, 2026 by noon.
- Application review begins after: November 10, 2026
- Initial offers: throughout November and December by Briggs faculty
- Once all positions have been filled, Dr. Leon will email all applicants. Confirmation that hiring for Spring 2027 has ended will happen by December 18.
- New and returning ULAs are expected to complete required onboarding and training activities, including online self-paced, live virtual, and discipline-specific training. Plan for training activities during the week of January 11-15, 2027.
- First day of the Spring 2027 semester: Tuesday, January 19.
