Biography
I teach the Science and Society courses at Lyman Briggs. My research areas include feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, ethics, and critical cultural studies. I find these areas important because they help me understand the social, political, ethical, and cultural aspects of our gendered existence in a philosophical way.
Education
Ph.D., Philosophy, Michigan State University
Ph.D., Philosophy, Peking University, China
Research
I have a special interest in Chinese feminist philosophy, transcultural feminist philosophy, transnational feminism, and feminist solidarity across cultural differences. I am currently working on a monograph tentatively titled Chinese Feminist Philosophy in Transcultural Contexts, which provides a philosophical reflection of the Chinese feminist scholarship from the mid-1990s to the present.
