As the alumni relations professional at MSU’s Lyman Briggs College (LBC), I develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies that strengthen lifelong connections between the university and its alumni community. Through relationship-building, strategic events and innovative programming, I design and manage high-impact initiatives that support institutional advancement, foster alumni engagement, and enhance participation. My work includes planning and executing signature alumni events, volunteer opportunities, and mentorship programs that connect students, alumni, and university stakeholders. I collaborate closely with development officers, academic advisors, and career services to integrate alumni into key initiatives—ranging from student recruitment and career development to strengthening the campaign pipeline. 

My own career journey has deeply shaped my commitment to this work. After graduating with a degree in accounting and entering the workforce, I quickly realized my passion was in higher education. But by then, it felt too late to pivot without major disruption. That experience fuels my mission to bridge the gap between students and alumni, creating meaningful opportunities for alumni to share real-world career insights that help students make informed decisions about their futures earlier in their college experience. I develop multi-channel communication strategies, including email campaigns, newsletters, and targeted outreach, to keep alumni informed, connected, and engaged. These thoughtful touchpoints help ensure alumni feel valued and remain an integral part of the LBC community. 

Additionally, I oversee the planning and execution of key annual giving campaigns, including Giving Tuesday and MSU's annual Day of Giving. I also lead the donor stewardship reporting process, collaborating with faculty partners to create compelling content that highlights donor impact. My work is grounded in strategic planning, data-informed decision-making, and best practices in alumni relations, helping LBC foster an inclusive alumni network that contributes to the college's mission and long-term success.
