Research Opportunities
Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate research is a crucial component of many students' experiences here at Briggs. Many students carry out research in departments or labs all across campus. Others find opportunities right here in LBC.

Finding Funding
LBC Funding
LBC directly supports undergraduate research with about $15,000 in annual grants. Most of that money directly funds research itself. A smaller portion supports travel in support of research, including dissemination of results. Any Lyman Briggs student is eligible to apply.
- The Jane Elliott Research Fund
- The LBC Undergraduate Research Support Fund
- LBC Research Travel Award
Other sources of funding
The MSU Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity also has a list of funding sources.
