Biochemistry
Biochemistry provides fee-based tutoring for students enrolled in BMB 401, 461, 462.
Biological Sciences
The Biological Sciences Program offers free tutoring assistance for students enrolled in intro biological science courses.
Chemistry
The Chemistry Help Room (located in rooms 81 and 82 in the Chemistry Building) offers free assistance to students enrolled in General and Organic Chemistry (not LBC Chemistry). There is also a list of tutors for hire available.
English Language Center
The English Language Center provides instruction to international students who need to improve their English language skills before beginning academic course work. The ELC serves the international community by providing English language instruction against a backdrop of American life and academia.
Guided Learning Center (College of Engineering)
The College of Engineering's Guided Learning Center Academic Assistance Program is designed to include supplemental instruction for undergraduate students, in various math, science, and engineering courses. This program is provided for students at no cost to them.
Mathematics
The LBC Math Help Room is in Holmes Hall, Room C-9, from 5-10 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays.
The Math Learning Center (located in Wells Hall or in the Neighborhoods) provides walk-in assistance to students enrolled in all 100 and 200 level math courses and limited assistance in upper level math courses. In addition, the MLC also provides practice tests, group study sessions, exam reviews, and online tutoring in selected courses.
Physics
The Physics Help Room (located in 1248 BPS) provides walk-in tutoring for students enrolled in selected lower level physics courses. The department also keeps a list of for-hire tutors.
Social Science
Social Science offers a variety of free support options in selected social science courses. These options include drop-in tutoring, appointments, and review sessions. Services are available in the Neighborhood Engagement Centers and the Main Library as well.
Statistics
The Statistics Help Room (located in the A wing of Wells Hall) provides drop-in assistance to students enrolled in selected STT courses.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center offers one-on-one peer writing consultations, writing workshops, and creative writing groups.
