Briggs Research Showcase Now Open
April 14, 2021
In the Spring of each year, the Lyman Briggs Community joins together to celebrate our hard work and accomplishments in undergraduate research. Undergraduate research is a distinctive part of the Briggs experience, and each year a large fraction of students engage in meaningful research experiences both in and out of the classroom.
Traditionally, we have celebrated research during a live, in-person poster competition. This year, we are proud to introduce the asynchronous online Briggs Showcase. Visit here:
lymanbriggsstudentshowcase.hcommons.org.
The Briggs Showcase features a wide variety of undergraduate research efforts, including works in-progress and retrospective presentations. Briggs students work across many disciplines, including biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and history, philosophy, and sociology of science. Exhibits include abstracts, posters, and short videos of students describing their work. There are 53 research presentations in this year's showcase.
Thanks to generous funding from
MSU Federal Credit Union’s Dean’s Choice Award, we are able to recognize outstanding contributions across each of the submission categories. Judging takes place during the last two weeks of classes, and awards will be announced April 19 and 20.
