Words of welcome and advice from former LBC students
College Colloquium will take place on Tuesday, August 31, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Lyman Briggs College looks forward to welcoming the incoming Fall 2021 class to campus! For College Colloquium on Tuesday, August 31st, we will host small groups to facilitate community and connection as our first-year students begin their journey at MSU and in Lyman Briggs.
Incoming students can find their Colloquium Group and Location Assignments on our Colloquium event page. This information will also be sent to their MSU email address, available in the building, and provided by their Peer Support Mentor. The majority of small groups will be offered in-person and located in or around Holmes Hall. We will offer a virtual small group option using zoom for students who wish to engage remotely instead of in-person.
Before and after your small group session, advisors will be out between East Holmes and the woods to welcome you with music, snacks, and conversation.
If you want to prepare for Colloquium, think about this question: What inspires your curiosity?
More details will be posted on the event page by Friday, August 27, after 5:00 p.m.
