My educational and teaching background is strongly rooted in the liberal arts, so being able to connect my strong belief in a curriculum that demands critical thinking and global consciousness to my passion for helping students is my dream job. Lyman Briggs College creates that atmosphere where students, faculty and staff all learn and thrive together to enhance and promote lifelong learning in a world that is expanding and changing, every day.
Outside of work, I am an avid runner and skier who enjoys bagpiping with the Glen Erin Pipe Band and spending time with my family.
I taught Oral Communication for five years in the Communication Department at Alma College. I have also presented at national and international conferences on best advising practices and bridging the gap between student services and faculty to achieve student success at the MIACADA 2014 Regional Conference and League of Innovations 2015 Conference and MCCSSA Fall 2015 Conference.
