2024: Our 17th Annual LBC Research Event!

Each spring LBC hosts a student research showcase. This year will feature several changes including an earlier time in the semester!

This is a great opportunity and welcoming environment for you to: 

  • Share your work from your research lab, honors option or class project with fellow students
  • Learn about the other research of Briggsies, whether within LBC or elsewhere on campus
  • Build your resume
  • Potentially win a cash award

Who can participate?  

You can:

  • If you have done research with a faculty member, as an honors option or as part of a class
  • If you have already prepared a poster presentation for UURAF, the Diversity Research Showcase, Mid-SURE, or other research showcases or conferences
  • If you wish to pre-record a research talk (5-10 minutes)
  • If you have work-in progress that you want to share

Premier Event: Thursday, February 15, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Through the generous support of the MSU Federal Credit Union, independent research and honors options presentations will be eligible to win cash prizes. A panel of LBC alums will evaluate presentations and select winners.Awards will recognize outstanding presentations across a range of areas including:

  • MSUFCU Best Biological Science Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Social Science Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Physical Science Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Educational Research Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in STEM Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Interdisciplinary Presentation Award

  • MSUFCU Best Virtual Presentation Award
