PHILOSOPHY OF INCLUSION

At Lyman Briggs College, faculty and staff operate under an educational philosophy based on two major themes: 1) students benefit from living and learning alongside others with similar interests, and 2) students benefit from bridging the gap between sciences and humanities. Students at Briggs work with internationally-recognized faculty to build a core foundation in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics while incorporating the history, philisophy, and sociology of science.

WHAT IS INCLUSION?

Inclusion is the idea that every person has the same opportunity for success. At Briggs, this means each student will have access to the tools they need, regardless of academic background, socioeconomic status, or any other factor.
