People at LBC
 A great deal of commitment is required to keep an academic unit
such as Briggs functioning smoothly. These are the dedicated
people who make it happen. The faculty at Lyman Briggs
are scholar-teachers who are knowledgeable of, and conduct
research in, our respective disciplines, as well as in pedagogy.The faculty of Lyman Briggs College are from academically diverse backgrounds in the natural and social sciences, mathematics, and the humanities. We have chosen Lyman Briggs over other university positions because we believe that the liberal arts augmented science program at Briggs is a national model for an undergraduate, residential learning community. We have designed a curriculum at Briggs that interconnects biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, history, sociology, and philosophy, to prepare students to excel in a complex, rapidly changing society driven by technology and interdisciplinary collaborations. The staff at Lyman Briggs College are dedicated to helping students get a first class education, and assisting the faculty who provide it. Without these people to handle the administrative details of the day-to-day operations at Briggs, we could not offer such a high quality education.
