Dr. Edwards received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2016. He joined the faculty at Lyman Briggs College in Fall, 2016 as a teaching academic specialist. He previously taught at two community colleges in Ohio, and was a high school math and physics teacher from 2005 until 2012. His research interests are in the area of undergraduate mathematics education, with a special focus on helping students develop higher-order quantitative thinking. He is also devoted to studying the history of mathematics, and making history come alive in the classroom.
