I have a joint appointment in Briggs and in the Philosophy Department. I'll be teaching courses that deal with issues in philosophy of neuroscience and philosophy of psychiatry, in addition to LBC133. My academic background includes a PhD in philosophy and a postdoc in neuropsychiatry. For my postdoc research, I did neuroimaging research and some of my current philosophical projects involve examining neuroimaging studies from the perspective of philosophy of science. More generally, my research examines the relationship between ethical and epistemological questions in neuroscience and medicine/psychiatry. On a more personal note, I'm really excited to be at MSU and looking forward to getting to know my Briggs colleagues and students.
