MSU Mentoring Resources
To ensure that the mentoring programs in each MSU college are based on best practices and comply with the principles outlined in the university's mentoring policy, a number of resources have been compiled and more are in development including a Mentor Toolkit. The following resources are now available for immediate use:

  • A list of frequently asked questions has been developed. It addresses all of the policy provisions as well as many other questions that have been raised. If you have additional questions, please send them to adapp@msu.edu

  • An online Faculty Mentor Resource Center has been launched where tools can be found to help colleges as they establish programs and mentors/mentees as they start and enhance mentoring relationships. Many more resources will be added to the site on an ongoing basis so please check it regularly for updates.

  • College-appointed Faculty Excellence Advocates [FEA] are available to answer questions and assist colleges and faculty in meeting ADAPP-ADVANCE program goals including mentoring.

  • The ADAPP grant team and Faculty and Organizational Development office can provide consultations on how to get started: 353-8818, www.adapp-advance.msu.edu, or adapp@msu.edu.

  • The MSU Academic Advancement Network has comprehensive resources to support mentoring here.
