Fall 2014 Undergraduate Research Winners

 

Ciara Johnson, Junior, LB Astrophysics major. Ciara will be working with Dr. Dr. Brian O’Shea from Lyman Briggs College/Physics and Astronomy on a project entitled: Exploring the Thermodynamics of the Intergalactic medium.

 

Lindsey McQuade, Senior, LB Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology major. Lindsey will be working with Dr. Gina Leinninger and Dr. AJ Robison from the Physiology Department.  Her research project title is Role of Neurotensin-Regulated Neurons in the Hippocampus.

 

Dylan Miller, senior, LB Neuroscience major. Dylan will be working with Dr. Ashlee Rowe from the Neuroscience Department on a project entitled: Shocks and Stings-Microstimulation of Scorpion Defensive Behavior.

 

Kyle Redilla, Senior, LB Statistics and Entomology major. Kyle will be working with Dr. Deborah McCullough from the Entomology Department on a project entitled: Buprestid beetle (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) community composition and attraction to different lures in forested sites in Michigan.

 

Kali Rush, Junior, LB Fisheries and Wildlife major. Kali will be working with Dr. David Williams from the Fisheries and Wildlife Department on a project entitled: Assessing habitat-specific detection probabilities for white-taliled deer.

 

Adam Thelen, Senior, LB Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major. Adam will be working with Dr. Eric Hegg from the Biochemistry Department on a project entitled: Expression of an [FeFe]-hydrogenase and associated maturation factors in saccharomyces cerevisiae.

 

Carolyn Wendeln, Junior, LB Astrophysics major. Carolyn will be working with Dr. Laura Chomiuk of the Physics and Astronomy Department on a project entitled: A radio emission analysis of Novo Puppis 1991 (V351 Pup).
